Bye

Lula 'Secret Garden' McQueen Dress.
Pic from TFS.

I'm going on holidays tomorrow! First I'm flying into JFK, driving to Woodbury Commons, then driving to Canada. I can't wait! Of course I'll be recording my outfits like most bloggers do, and I'll finlly have somewhere more photogenic to take pictures than my bedroom or back garden.

I'll be back to regular posting in 3 weeks. Theres' no internet connection at our house in Canada there so unless I get lucky with free wifi in a hotel at some stage I won't be online for almost a week.

xoxo,
Stef.

So

So, yesterday for my birthday I went to the Style Museum and shopping. I have some pictures and I'll upload them later.
For now, here's a strange similarity that I spotted while watching Gok's Fashion Fix last night. Flake Advert and Kate Moss for a McQueen Show? Yes, yes indeed.

Oh, and I thought the dress the woman in the Flake advert was the Oyster dress by McQueen but it turns out it's by Anthony Prince... Hmmm...

Anyway,
I suppose this is kind of a reflection of the influence his shows have had on the world... this is not the first time I've noticed a similarity between his shows and other TV adverts.
Oh, and just out of interest, would that ad actually make you want to eat the chocolate? I mean, the dress could've at least been brown or something.

UPDATE;
Looks like the people over at McQueen saw this advert too...

What I Love Right Now

Uggh. Pictures always go blurry when I upload them. Oh well.
Anyway, I have a question for you guys. What kind of shoes do you wear religiously in Summer? For me, gladiator sandals. They're comfy and stylish and go with everything. I don't think you can go wrong with them.
How about you?

Bloom

So, today I went to Bloom once again. We go every year, something to do with my Dad's work. For those of you who don't know, Bloom is a garden show. It's apparently twice the size of Chelsea Garden Show, but that's mainly due to the amount of companies advertising their stuff. Anyway, honestly it wasn't as good as last year but I didn't get to see much of the gardens because my little brother moaned the whole way through and eventually we gave in and left fairly early.
I was looking everywhere for some supplies to make a flower headband, or even better,a pre-made one. There was an old lady with the most amazing one, but I couldn't find it. Probably because it was hard enough to move in the crafts stall, never mind actually purchase something. And it smelt like BO.

Anyway, here's what I wore.

Dress; Thrifted. Blouse; Vintage. Bracelet; Freedom at Topshop. Headpiece; DIY. Shoes; Penneys.

The vintage blouse is perfect because it protects your arms and shoulders from getting sunburnt and it barely weighs anything so it doesn't add any unnecesary heat in warm weather.

I made the headpiece this morning because I felt the outfit needed something.
Well, that's all for now.
I'm hoping I can do a lot more updates this summer and maybe even get to 100 posts.

Finally.

School finished today. I can't really believe it, it went so fast. And my Junior Cert next year... but there's no point in thinking about that right now. I haven't really got any new material to post right now, but I'm going shopping tomorrow, heading off to Bloom on Saturday and it won't be long until I'm going on holidays and I'll be able to photograph my outfits in a very beautiful and photogenic area. For now, I'll just post some inspiring photos.

(sorry, I can't make it bigger because my Blogger pictures always come up as coding for some reason...?)

I'm so excited to have 3 months free to do anything and wear anything I want!
I just know this is going to be a great one.
